Healthy Heavy Metals

Minerals play a critical role in the health of all living organisms. They are vital to overall mental and physical well-being. Without the aid of minerals, our bodies could not assimilate vitamins. Although our bodies can produce a few vitamins on their own, they cannot manufacture a single mineral. We therefore must receive all necessary minerals from the substances we put into our bodies. But did you know some of the minerals essential for optimal well-being are actually healthy heavy metals?

What is a Heavy Metal?

A heavy metal is defined as having a specific gravity at least five times that of water. In small quantities, certain healthy heavy metals (heavy minerals) are nutritionally essential, such as iron, copper, manganese, and zinc. Others, such as silver, gold, and platinum, are not considered essential but they are known to provide enhanced mental and/or physical health.

A common misconception is that all heavy metals are bad for our health. In reality, we could not live without many of them. When our bodily levels of certain heavy metals drop too low, symptoms of deficiency can arise in the form of disease. So it’s not about the weight or density of a metal, it’s whether the metal is health-giving or toxic. Heavy metals that are very harmful to our health include lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, cobalt, etc. And too much of any mineral is never good.

Some minerals are found in abundance in the body, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium. These are called macro minerals. Other minerals are found only in trace amounts, and are therefore called trace minerals. There are over 50 trace minerals, many of which are heavy metals, that promote health and a state of well-being. Three of the most useful of these are Colloidal Silver, Colloidal Gold and Colloidal Copper. Colloidal Silver is well known for its anti-microbial properties, and silver has been utilized in medicine for hundreds of years. The benefits of Colloidal Gold and Colloidal Copper are less well known.

Colloidal Gold

Gold is known to be a powerful, yet subtle, pain reliever, and has been continually used by medical doctors to treat arthritis since 1927. It was famous over 100 years ago for its role in healing heart conditions, improving blood circulation, and rejuvenating sluggish organs. Gold has been shown to be especially helpful for conditions that affect the mind, emotions, and spirit. Studies have shown that consuming Colloidal Gold increases the I.Q. by 20% after a few weeks. Willpower is also said to increase, and for this reason gold was once commonly used in the U.S. to treat dipsomania (uncontrollable craving for alcohol). An increase of willpower from gold has reportedly helped many people overcome obesity and drug addiction.

Europeans have long been aware of the benefits of gold in the body, and have been purchasing gold coated pills and ‘gold water’ over the counter for over a century. Gold seems to have a calming effect on the nerves and elevates the mood, and has been successfully used to help alleviate anxiety and depression. The homeopathic remedy, aurum metallicum, is made from gold and is used to treat suicidal people. Hot flashes and chills are said to be helped by gold. Today, state-of-the-art technology is used to produce Colloidal Gold solutions that are extremely bio-available. Properly made Colloidal Gold is ruby red in color, contains only pure 24k gold in laboratory-grade water, and is 100% safe to use daily.

Colloidal Copper

Copper is an essential mineral for skin health. It’s necessary for the formation of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans (GAG’s – the cement that bonds tissue components together). Some of the external signs of a copper deficiency are skin sores, eczema, age spots, varicose veins, wrinkles, sagging of the skin, and grey hair. Applying Colloidal Copper to the skin and scalp is an excellent way of delivering additional copper to the body. Doing this directly stimulates the formation of collagen, elastin, and GAG’s, thus promoting smoother, younger looking skin. Colloidal Copper gives skin a nice, healthy glow as well as increases the skin’s ability to retain moisture.

Colloidal Copper activates copper-dependent enzymes in the dermal layer which help to repair, restore and rejuvenate the skin. Copper plays a part in the reproduction melanin and some claim it reverses grey hair. Copper has been called the elixir of youth and has been used for millennia by empresses, queens, princesses, and the rich and famous of their day for beauty enhancing and anti-aging treatments. Copper is a powerful antioxidant for skin and is helpful for inflammation. Colloidal Copper is the copper supplement of choice because it contains ultra small, bioavailable nanoparticles of pure copper in laboratory-grade water, and nothing else.

  1. Johathan, I love your products I have the Silver, Gold, and Copper.
Thank You for your insight about the use and detail on what each is intended for.
After doing much research I would not consider using any other brand than Mountain Well Being.
    Keep up the good work.
The best to You, and Happy Trails.

  2. I’ve been trying to find an answer to my question with no success. If I do a heavy metal detox with chlorella, liquid bentonite clay, and chlorella will it pull out the colloidal gold and silver I take?

    1. Hello Kristine,
When colloidal silver and colloidal gold are made properly, the particles are extremely tiny and are continuously eliminated from the body. It usually doesn’t take more than two days for it to be completely out of the body. So, I would not be concerned about chlorella or bentonite clay negatively affecting the colloids you are taking. They are naturally excreted from the body anyway.
      Be well,
      Jonathan

  3. Ok…So, this may seem like an odd question to a lot of people, but I’m determined to find answers to a wonder I’ve had lately, which I believe you may be one to understand why. I am aware that with certain substances, bioavailability is significantly increased when rectal administration is implemented, in comparison to ingestion. What are your thoughts upon this method for specific colloidal minerals?

    1. Hello David,

Thank you for your question. It doesn’t seem like an odd question to me:-) Research points to rectal administration of colloidal silver being quite an effective method, possibly even more effective than oral administration. It can be easier to get large quantities of colloidal silver into the body, versus taking it orally.

If you choose to go this route, it’s best if you get a 10 ml oral syringe (the type used for kids and animals) and some silicone tubing. You’ll want to fill the syringe with colloidal silver, then attach the tubing to the syringe, and then insert and inject. All of the colloidal silver will be absorbed by the body within about 10 minutes. It is believed that obtaining a higher concentration of colloidal silver in the blood is more easily accomplished this way.

If you try this, please report back to us with your results. That way, we can share your testimonial with other customers for their benefit too.

      Be well,

  4. Jonathan is there a shelf life on your Colloridal Silver. I would like to buy and store for emergencies. From what I’ve read and heard there is not, just want to make sure. Thanks, JoAnn

    1. Hi JoAnn,

If stored properly, which means at room temperature, away from direct light, away from strong electro-magnetic frequencies and in glass bottles, colloidal silver should last at least a decade or even much longer.

      Take care,
      Jonathan

  5. Jonathan second thought. Do you have an information sheet on the uses and doses of the Colloidal Silver. I wouldn’t know how to use dose on different problems or sickness. Does this come with a order. Thanks again JoAnn

  6. I read your article and it is great except the part about the ruby red gold. If the Colloidal supplements you sell have a color they are made INCORRECTLY. They should always be clear!! The color comes from light reflecting from the particles in your solution. So that means your particle size is to large. It should be nano sized to be able to pass the cell wall. If your getting any color your particle size is to large.

    1. Hello Shaun,

While I agree with you if talking about colloidal silver, colloidal gold is different. When colloidal gold is made properly, it is always a reddish color. The particle size of Mountain Well-Being colloidal gold is between 1-10 nanometers which means it is completely bioavailable.

You can use the color of colloidal gold as an indicator of particle size. The redder it is, the smaller and more bioavailable the particles. When the particles are larger, the color will be more purple rather than red. If the particles get even larger, the color will be blue (not bioavailable). And so on…

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions or comments.

      Thank you,
      Jonathan

  7. I am very interest in using this for a virus. I hear most of the benefits are for upper respiratory and bacteria issues.

Thank you in advance for responding.
